Quilt Pink Day
More than 1,000 quilt shops across the U.S. participated in "Quilt Pink," a quilt industry-organized
fund-raising project to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation, a leader in supporting
breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment programs.

Quilters contributed pink-themed blocks that were made into quilts by the local shops, and will be auctioned
by "American Patchwork & Quilting" magazine, the principle organizer. Click here for current information about

On September 30th, 2006, more than 50 volunteers contributed their time to layout, assemble and piece blocks
at The City Quilter. More than 750 blocks were contributed by mostly New York-area quilters--
but two dozen, for example, came from Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Here are the pictures of the 20 completed quilts. Below is a list of the many, many block-makers and those who helped that day at the shop.
