The City Quilter is celebrating its new status as a full-fledged Bernina dealer with a fun-filled opportunity to learn more about the wonderful things this sewing machine brand can do for all fabric-lovers. Our day includes:Creative Challenge: Anyone can submit any finished product they've created on a Bernina to be judged for a first, second and third prize of City Quilter gift certificates. We'll be looking for the best examples of these machines' exceptional capabilities. The three winners plus best runners-up will be on display that day and put on our Facebook page. Electronic submissions are not acceptable. Submissions may be dropped off at the store from Tuesday, June 12 through June 15 during normal store hours. Please make sure that you have a label on your piece including your name, phone number and the Bernina model number the work was made on. The submissions can be retrieved from Sunday, June 16 on. One submission per person. Giveaways: There will be giveaways galore that day, including fabrics, books and more! Creative Tools Demonstrations: Throughout the day several creative tools from Bernina's arsenal will be demonstrated in various parts of the store. You'll be able to see how the CutWork tool can serve crafters and quilters, alike; how delightful needle felting can be; how machine embroidery can enhance any project; and how easy it is to turn any Bernina-brand machine into serviceable serger for a fraction of the cost of a stand-alone unit. Hourly Feet Demos: With over 100 feet available to unleash all manner of sewing inspiration, we will be having on-the-hour presentations by Bernina's skilled regional manager, Gayle Schliemann. She will demonstrate a particularly useful group of feet to whet everyone's appetite for the wide-ranging "Feetures" that Bernina-owners can take advantage of. After each 15 minute demo, Gayle will take questions, and then there will be a drawing for a free foot (you must be there to collect!). Here is the schedule:
