A quilting haven in New York City, our shop specializes in fabric for the urban quilter and sewer — sophisticated, contemporary, exotic — including an extensive collection of batiks, hand-dyed, Japanese fabric.
New York-related fabrics, patterns and kits are a special focus. In Fall, 2009, we introduced two original New York-iconographic fabrics, "Olde New York," and "NYC Subway," marking the start of our exclusive "City Collection." Our third fabric, "Times Square", was released in late August, 2010. McCall's Quilting magazine featured our "Times Square Tote" pattern. A kit is available from us. The next "City Collection"tm fabrics, New York Line by Line–Night and New York Line by Line–Day are now available. Two more designs will be out in Spring of 2012.
In addition, we have a large collection of books, sewing notions and gifts appealing to quilters, sewers, embroiderers, and other fiber artists.
More than 150 different quilting and sewing classes are offered throughout the year. And we are a Bernina sewing machine dealer and a long arm, HandiQuilter dealer for the NYC metro area.
Located in Manhattan's Chelsea district, our recently expanded 4,000 sq ft
store has more than 4,000 bolts of 100% cotton fabric & is near to parking,
